Searching Through Rubbish

Ephesians 1:10-11 (NLT) "10 And this is the plan: At the right time He will bring everything together under the authority of Christ—everything in heaven and on earth.11 Furthermore, because we are united with Christ, we have received an inheritance from God,for He chose us in advance, and He makes everything work out according to his plan."

Why do we search through the rubbish of our lives hoping to find something different?
The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different result.
If we had childhood issues, broken dreams and/or people in our lives who broke promises to us, why do we continue to go back to that thinking it will change somehow?
People come and go in our lives all the time. Even as adults. There are just different seasons and different reasons why some relationships don't make it. Our childhood issues can't be fixed, but we can chose to learn and grow through what happened. Your dreams aren't necessarily broken, because God can restore anything if it's His will!
The one constant relationship we can rely on is with our Heavenly Father. But, also with ourselves. We need to find our value in God and like who He made us to be.
Other people's opinions about us don't really matter. When people leave, we tend to internalize it and blame ourselves, but the fact of the matter is, they probably weren't supposed to be in that place in our hearts to begin with.
Speak comfort and blessings over yourself. Enjoy your own company. You have value and worth that does not come from another human being.
God has designed your purpose and the steps it takes to get you there. Maybe He had to remove someone so you would turn fully to Him? I'm not suggesting that He would hurt you or break your heart to get you to turn to Him. I used to think that. How absurd! What loving Father would break your heart and think you'd turn to Him afterwards?
No, God sees the grand design and allows certain things at certain times, so that you will turn to Him, but He does not CAUSE the bad. My Pastor says, "If it ain't good, it's not God."
Pursuing God's plan for your life is THE BEST thing you can do for yourself. It is drawing closer to Him and allowing Him full access to your heart. Also, look at your life through heaven's eyes. Back in the 1990's someone created a cartoon movie about Moses called The Prince of Egypt. There is a song on that sound track that I love called "Look at Your Life through Heaven's Eyes." Moses thought he was worthless, but his soon to be father in law sang him this song. You can see it here:Through Heaven's Eyes
Don't look back searching through the rubbish hoping to find a treasure. Your treasure is up ahead.
God bless you today and always.
