Keep Dreaming!

Daniel 2:28, "However, there is a God in heaven who reveals mysteries, and He has made known to King Nebuchadnezzar what will take place in the latter days.This was your dream and the visions in your mind while on your bed."

God gives us dreams both while we are asleep and awake. He has placed gifts and talents in each of us to use to honor and glorify Him. 

Kinda Wilson is someone I admire greatly. She's a college professor at Oklahoma State University, published author, Ted X speaker, and spoken word master. Her spoken word talk at Launch Out literally made me cry. I was only able to take a few notes.. here they are:

"Dreamers change the world, and sometimes you need encouragement. You don't know what echos your voice makes! Keep dreaming, keep singing, keep walking with sway that says you are amazing. Walk out the dream God has called you to He will roll up His sleeves and help you."

In the Bible, God sometimes gave dreams to show the future. The Scripture above was to a King to show him what was going to happen to his Kingdom. Joseph is the main one that comes to mind. God showed him his brothers bowing down to him. How we handle those dreams is a different blog post all together. LOL However, the dreams God places in your heart for other things is just as important.

What I want to remind you of, is that the dreams in your heart are from God. He placed them there so you could use them for Him. He wants you to write that book, write that blog, start that podcast, adopt that child, go on that mission trip, speak to that group of people, help that person, pray for that other person, and start the ministry He's called you to.

Kinda and Me

He has plans for your life that start with a dream.

As children, it was easy for us to dream. We had high hopes for our lives and what we wanted to do. But reality sets in and we give up. Why do we do that?

I always dreamed of being a writer, and after several detours, I finally am. Am I on the New York Times Best seller list? NOT YET! It's a dream of mine.

Whatever you feel like God has called you to do, do it. He will work out the details.
