Someone posted the video (link above) to Facebook and I really liked what he said.
Please take a minute to watch it.
If you are a parent, please listen to me... if you aren't a parent, you need to pay attention too!
As parents, we have the power to make or break our children. The same goes for other adults in a child's life who aren't their parents.
Words are SUPER powerful!
I don't know why we pretend they aren't.
If someone you know, even an adult, as a dream... don't be the person who tears them down.
Encourage someone!
Build them up! In 1 Thessalonians, Paul was encouraging that church and said this, in verse 11, "11 Therefore encourage one another and build each other up,just as in fact you are doing."
This modern world has so much to offer and so many ways to make dreams come true! But, one negative comment can stop a dream in it's tracks.
I love the quote from the movie The Help, that the nanny said to the children, "You is kind. You is smart. You is important."
She was building those children up, and they needed it!
Who can you encourage today? If you do, you might be helping them take the lid off their jar and reach their potential!
