Yesterday, I was open and honest about what's going on in my family. There was an overwhelming response on my personal Facebook page, through messages, and the 30 Days of Hustle group I am in. Thank you all for everything. Even if you did not message me but you prayed, thank you too. That is one of the best things you can do for anyone!

My Pastor said a couple of things Sunday that somewhat relate to my situation and I wanted to tell you guys.

"Anything produced out of fear will never stand!"

"Anything produced out of LOVE will stand forever."

The fact of the matter is, I love my son with my whole heart. He is a part of me. I carried him in my body and gave birth to him. Nothing will ever change that. Nothing will ever make me stop loving him or love him any less.

The changes I feel he needs to make can not be made out of fear. Those changes won't stand.

Just like you can't lose weight out of fear. Eventually the fear leaves and you become complacent again. What we should do is love ourselves enough to make the changes to lose weight.

Because I love my son, I needed time.

I remember once, when my first born was a baby... I was on the phone with my friend from the bank. He started crying and I was trying to talk over him and comfort him, but nothing was working. I was getting upset too. So I laid him down in his crib and walked out. She said, "Well he's quiet now, what did you do?" I said, "I laid in his crib and walked out. I was getting too upset myself."

This is the place I'm in. I love my son too much to allow him to disrespect adults. Fighting with his siblings is one thing. I don't like it or the name calling, but that's not as wrong as talking to your mom like she's a kid too.

I am praying that his love for me will cause him to see the changes he needs to make and make them. I am praying that out of love, he will understand how much I love him and want him to be the man that God has called him to be. My family feels broken again. It's not the same without him here.

Don't do things out of fear. Don't allow fear to control your life. Do things out of love. That's what will last forever!

  1. Keep up the battle momma! Remember you won't win everyone, but someday you'll win the war.
