HOPE

Yesterday, I stopped and snapped this picture:

When I posted it, I made the caption, "I see hope, what do you see?"

It was a cloudy day for most of the day yesterday. I even had to fight off some sadness yesterday morning. So, once the sun starting shining towards the evening time, I couldn't help but feel hopeful and better.

This morning, in Proverbs, I read in Chapter 13 verse 12, "Hope deferred makes a heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life."

Dictionary.com says that "deferred" means "postponed or delayed."

So, the Scripture says, "Hope delayed makes a heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life."

We all need hope, don't we? Whether we are Christians or not. We want to have a feeling that things can and will get better. That's what hope does. It helps us through the rough times.

One of the bands I like, The Color Morale, has an album called "KNOW HOPE". They have HOPE on their T-shirt like this:
That's what hope is, isn't it? Knowing that you are NOT going to be in that place forever.

Knowing that you have people care and love you and will be there for you. Knowing that you have a God who loves you more than any human being on earth.... that's hope. Without hope, we feel sick. Our heart hurts.

We can give hope to people. That homeless person on the street....Give them some money and watch them light up. That's hope. They don't feel so alone and they realize that they will not be in that place forever.

A kind word to a friend going through something difficult, can make a huge difference in their life.

Do you need some hope today? Can you give some hope today? Let's do this!
