We are made for community

God did not make us to live life alone. We are made for community.
Community is defined as:
Noun
  1. A group of people living together in one place, esp. one practicing common ownership: "a community of nuns".
  2. All the people living in a particular area or place: "local communities".

Not everyone in your community will be your best friends. And that's ok. It's still important to have people you can count on.

Jesus understood this too. He had many many people who traveled with Him on a daily bases. But, He really poured into His 12 Disciples. They are the ones He taught more in depth and the ones He knew more intimately.

Then, Jesus went even further than that, to allow only 3 of the 12 into His closest circle of influence.

Matthew 17:1 says, "After six days Jesus took with him Peter, James and John the brother of James, and led them up a high mountain by themselves."

These three men were allowed to see Jesus transfigure into light and see Him as He truly was.

That's how we should all be. Support your community, as in your church. Be there, lift each other up in prayer. Then, really pour your life into a few close friends and live life with them. You won't regret it.
