What are you expecting?

Last week, my two younger children were expecting new cell phones to be shipped to them. It was time for an upgrade. They had gone online and picked out the new phone they wanted and were anxiously awaiting the arrival of that box.

A couple of days went by, and it was supposed to be here, but wasn't. They were upset wondering why the phones hadn't been delivered yet.

Why aren't we like that with God?

I mean, the Bible says in
Lamentations 3:22
"Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed,for his compassions never fail ²³ They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness."

So, if God's compassions/ mercies are new every morning... why don't we wake up EXPECTING to have an awesome day?

Don't wake up defeated from the get go! Wake up expecting it to be a new merciful, loving, awesome filled day!
