Religious or not religious, that's the question!

I don't like being called "religious". Just because I love Jesus, pray, and read my Bible most days doesn't mean I'm religious. Religion is something that looks good on the outside but really isn't. It usually involves man made rules that honestly have nothing to do with God. We aren't here to be judgemental or performanced based. There is nothing you can do to make God love you any less, or any more.

Actually, no one will ever be "good enough" for God. If you are waiting to kick a bad habit, or waiting to feel worthy of God's love.... you are hurting yourself. We don't have to be "perfect" for God to love us. He already does! That's why He sent His Son to die in our place. John 3:16 says, " For God so LOVED the world, that He gave His only Son that who ever believes in Him will not perish, but have eternal life."

That doesn't say, "God only loved a select group of people." or "God loves a few people." God loves ALL people and WHO EVER believes in Him will be adopted as His child.

Romans 5:8 says, " But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us."

That doesn't say, "After you stop cussing." Or, "After you stop drinking alcohol." or, "After you stop over eating." or "After you stop spending too much money."

YOU DO NOT HAVE TO JUMP THROUGH HOOPS TO RECEIVE GOD' S LOVE.

You don't have to perform well, put on a mask to pretend life is good, attend church every time the doors are open, read your Bible every day, pray using big words, or even dress up for church.

God looks at your heart. Not your clothes, not your church attendance, not your service to a church, not your frilly words in prayer that you are trying to impress others with. He loves you for you. Period.

When will you get that through your hard head?
