Why Is The World Going Crazy?

God Offers Comfort to All 2 Corinthians 1:3-4

3 All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is our merciful Father and the source of all comfort. 4 He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us.

2017 has been a crazy year! We have had more shootings, killings, protests, and weather events than I have ever seen in my life.

I know that part of the reason it seems like the world is more crazy than normal, is because we have the internet and we can SEE it almost and sometimes immediately. We have cameras everywhere. And most people have their phones on them, so that's a camera or Facebook Live, Instagram Live, and Snapchat. 

These two latest evil events, the Vegas shooting and the New York thing yesterday is really trying to drag my heart down.

I want to reassure you of something. God is still in the middle of it all.

"WHY DIDN'T HE STOP IT?" I can hear you ask.

I don't know why He didn't stop it. I do know that He is not the author of it, and that He does not wish for people to die without knowing Him as their Lord and Savior.

He is our comforter during these crazy times. He is our Rock, Redeemer, and Friend.

He sent Jesus so we could have abundant life, but that's not saying an EASY life. Jesus told us this in John 10:10, "10 The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life."

He came so we could have a free life, eternal life with Him, and so we could tell others about Him and His Good News.

The Good News, besides what Jesus did on the cross for us, is that we are just stopping by this world. If you are a Christ follower, Heaven is your actual home, and it's going to be amazing. Not crazy, like here.

Sin caused this world to be crazy. Can I tell you this too?

If we will allow revival to start in OUR hearts, if we will allow God to flow through us to flood this earth with His glory, things will change.

I'm calling out to ALL Christians... let's flood the earth. Pray like you've never prayed before. Ask God for His Kingdom to come, for His will to be done on earth as it is in Heaven.

Get in His Word daily. Read it. Study it. Let it minister to your heart.

TALK about God. Tell people what you are learning, about what God is doing in your life, and how He's been there for you.

Churches are closing their doors. People are leaving and not coming back. They are mad at Him, and us, because they think He's doing the bad stuff, and we are making it seem like He is, because we are judging them.

This has GOT to stop!

We are called to love. The people who keep doing this horrible things do not know that God loves them. They don't know that He sent Jesus for them and that they can forever be in relationship with Him.That their lives can be better. Not perfect, but better. 

Will you love someone today? Will you tell people what God has done for you?
