Heart Full Of Love

"We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because He has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with His love." Romans 5:3-5 NLT

I ran across this Scripture the other day and thought it would make for a great Valentine's Day blog post.
Like many of you, I do not have a human being that's my "Valentine" today. Which is perfectly fine. Because I have something even better, and so do you! (Those of you with a Valentine, I hope you have a great day.)
That last sentence in the Scripture posted above just blew me away the other day.
"For we know how dearly God loves us, because He has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with His love."
Do you realize just how much God loves you? I don't think some people do. Let me tell you why...
They struggle with things in life. Life isn't easy for them, so they think God doesn't love them.
Let me tell you right now... EVERYONE struggles with something. Their Facebook page might look like they have it all together, but that's just what they show you.
That picture of all of their kids smiling... the parent might have had to yell at them to pay attention or all smile at once.
Those posts about how much they love their spouse... could be true, then next thing you know, they are getting divorced.
People don't post their mess on social media. They want you to think they are living it up. So you can not bank on everything you see on social media. It's not the whole story.
The first part of this Scripture even says, "rejoice WHEN you have problems." Not "rejoice IF you have problems."
Jesus said that too...John 16:33 He said, "I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world."
God's love is unconditional, unfailing, and forever. He will never take His love away from you.
And the best part.. He's ALWAYS there during those hard times. ALWAYS.
Let your heart be full of love today, because you know how much you are loved, and because you have the Holy Spirit in you as proof.
God bless you today and always!
