God Loved Us First

10 This is real love—not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins. 1 John 4:10 NLT

Love is a very special thing. Some people tend to find their value in a relationship. Like if they aren't dating anyone, they feel awful. I have learned so much over this past two years. My value doesn't come from a human. It comes from God. And His love matters first.

You see, God loved us first. He loved us before we were even born.

Here are a few examples in Scripture:

1. God loved us so much He sent His Son to die for us. (John 3:16)
2. His presence is with us every where we go. (Psalm 139: 7-12)
3. Nothing can separate us from the love of God. (Romans 8:38-39)
4. We love Him, because He first loved us. (1 John 4:19)

The Bible tells us that nothing can make God stop loving us.

Romans 8: 38-39 says, " And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. 39 No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord."

My relationship with God is first, and the most important in my life. I AM loved. I AM valued. I AM treasured. Simply because of His love for me.

The same is true for you!

Nothing you can do or have done will make God love you any less.
