Hope is a Bouquet!!

"Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is the tree of life."
Proverbs 13:12

Last night, I had the pleasure of attending a ladies event at my work church. It's called "Come To the Table". Women decorate the tables in all different themes, we eat a meal, and hear a guest speaker.

The speaker last night was Gail McWilliams. You can find her at http://gailmcwilliams.com/

Those woman ooozes hope. It radiates out of her. She is blind. She went blind having her children. During her second pregnancy, the doctors told her what was going on. They fully expected her to terminate the pregnancy. Not only did she not do that, she went on to have 3 more children.

Let me share my notes with you...

*If you live your life based only on what you see, you aren't living with vision.

*Hope sees beyond the obstacles and disappointments.

*Disappointment can be changed with 1 letter... into His Appointment!

*What do you focus on? What do you have your hope in?

*Hope will give you the ability to keep going.

*Practice seeing, ask God to surprise you everyday!

*Hope is a person named Jesus.

*Hope is there to sing over you, extend a hand to cheer you on, comfort you, knows how to see, peaceful, rests, will never leave your side and stands with you.

*Hope lives BIG! Hope is beyond this life.

*Hope fuels JOY!

*Hope is the centerpiece of your life. It's a bouquet that has fragrance and beauty.

That is not even all of my notes. I wish I could write the whole thing for you. This woman is amazing. She was a huge encouragement to me!

One thing she said that was so profound... "Do you drive in your car only looking in the rear view mirror?"

Of course we don't.. think of the wrecks we'd have.

Why do you live our lives that way? We look back at the past so much, instead of looking at each day and at what's in front of us.

If you aren't careful, you will only be existing and surviving.

If that's you, and you are only surviving, place your faith and hope in Jesus. He wants to see you through.

God bless you today and always.
