Someone who reads my blog needs this message today. I don't know who you are, but I feel strongly that I'm to write this. Honestly, what I'm about to tell you has helped me too.
He hears you!
In my Bible reading today, in Luke, I read the story of Jesus praying in the garden. Three times, He prayed for God to let Him not have to go to the cross, if that was God's will. However, He surrendered His will to God's will...because God's plans are better than ours.
If God has promised you something, remember this.. He ALWAYS keeps His promises.
2 Peter 3:9 reminds us, "The Lord is not slow in keeping His promise, as some understand slowness. Instead, He is patient with you."
God's timing is not our's either. His timing is perfect. So, whatever it is you have heard a promise from Him on, keep praying and expecting an answer.
In Ephesians 3:20 it says, "Now all glory to God, who is able, through His mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might think or ask."
Praying for what we believe God has laid on our hearts, praying for other people, and praying for God's glory are all great things to pray!
God will work through our prayers..and we should never give up.
When Stephen Kendrick was at our group, he reminded us of Elijah. Sometimes, God answered Elijah's prayer when he only asked once. Like when fire came from heaven to set the water soaked wood on fire. Other times, Elijah prayed 3 times, and still another 7 times.
God has a reason for answering our prayers at different paces.
My message to you, again, is to keep praying! He's working out what you are praying for. He's got this. He loves you and He really is keeping His promise.
