Our Rights As Christians

Yesterday, my Pastor taught on handling conflict and ignoring Jesus' point of going to a person who has wronged us first, instead of going to everyone else.

Sometimes we get caught up in "It's my right... " to whatever.

Jason said our rights as Christians are to LOVE and FORGIVE!

Those are our two rights!

We are called to love others. No matter what their skin color, religion, sexual preference, or church attendance is like.

We should be walking, talking, and thinking like Jesus. We need to let His Spirit embody us to the core of who we are.

We need to embrace what Jesus taught instead of ignoring some of it. Jason said we pick and chose to live by Jesus' ideas, like we are at a buffet. We get what we like on the buffet but ignore the foods that are good for us like vegetables and green leafy items.

It's time to stop doing that.

Whatever it is you struggle with in your Christian life.... God will help you. Just ask Him to.

We need Jesus at our core so we can live the way He showed as. His example of how to treat people is the way it should be. This is 2015 and people are still being mistreated for stupid reasons! Just because someone doesn't look, act, talk or make decisions like you would, doesn't give you the right to put them down.

It's my prayer that people who call themselves Christians will start loving and forgiving and STOP spreading hate. Hate has nothing to do with God. God is love.
