New Year, New You?

Happy New Year!! I can not even begin to tell you how excited I am about 2015!

God has some great things in store for all of us.

The best way, in my opinion, to have a new you is by giving your life to God.

When you accept God as your Lord and Savior, the Bible says you are a new creation then!

2 Corinthians 5:17 says, "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come; the old has gone, the new is here!"

It doesn't mean you or your life will be perfect.

But it does mean you will have a Father in heaven to get you through the rough spots.

God loves us all so much.

He wants us to have a new life in Him.

I posted the picture above because it made me think about how we've got something awesome going... like the sunset part on the left, and then something horrible is trying to take over...the cloud that's trying to cover it up. Life is like that sometimes.

Living for God doesn't give you a "get out of trouble" free card.

It does give you a Father to provide for you, listen to you, comfort you, and bind up your wounds. He promises to turn all things around for our good.

Romans 8:28 says, "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him and have been called according to His purpose."

Let's walk into 2015 with our heads held high, our hearts towards heaven, and knowing without any doubts that this year is going to be amazing!
