Jesus At The Center by Israel Houghton
I have often said that God is first in my life. Which is true. However, what if God/ Jesus are supposed to be the "CENTER" of my life, to which everything else revolves around Him?
Have you ever thought about it that way?
We should have a relationship with Jesus that comes before others. Even spouses and children. God is our Heavenly Father, Savior, Redeemer, and Friend. He has done, and in my case, continues to do what no human being on this planet can.
I am guilty of having seasons where I put someone above Him.
That's not happening anymore.
God is a jealous God. He does not want us to allow things to come before Him. It's only because He loves us so much and He knows what He has planned for our lives.
When we get in the way, He has to work around it. I know I have done that before too. I'm sure God is up in heaven going, "Now Jill, that's not the choice I wanted you to make. But ok, I will still be here and when you are ready to drop that, we will move forward with my plan." LOL I have often wondered what His voice sounds like. I bet it's a Morgan Freeman type voice. Something awesome and cool.

I just wanted you to think about that today. Is Jesus your center? Why or why not?
At Church yesterday the Pastor drew a graphic that looked like a sun - with us at the center, then our activities that fill our attention stretching out like sunbeams. He said we should put God at the Center - and then he drew us in as a sunbeam. I got what he meant but wanted him to make a circle inside the center - Him inside at my Center. Him shining through me.

Why? because His perfect love pushes out fear - replacing it with LOVE, JOY, REST, PEACE.... and more. Of course I'd rather have all that then fear. HE didn't make us stupid. LOL
