The Places Jesus Bled, Part 4

Yesterday, I referenced Isaiah 53: 4 & 5, today, I want to show you verse 5 again in a different translation.

The King James Version says this, "But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we are healed."

I want to focus on the word "Bruised". A bruise is a wound that happens on the inside of our bodies. Dictionary.com defines it as "To injure by striking or pressing, without breaking the skin."

We can have wounds on the inside of us, can't we? There are so many things that can cause us to feel wounded on the inside; names we are/were called and broken relationships are just a couple that come to my mind.

Jesus was bruised, He bled on the inside of His body, during His beating so that we can be healed from those deep down wounds. By His wounds we are healed.

If you are still struggling with these type of wounds, let Him heal you. He can, and He wants to.
