Why so negative??

I realize we live in a world full of junk. We have murder, stealing, 6 year old little boys getting in trouble at school for "sexual harassment" (When he has no clue what sex even is.), crazy weather things happen, suicides, bullying... I would be here all day if I listed everything wrong today.

There are plenty of things to be down and negative about. But does being that way really help anything or any one at all?

I mean, focusing on the bad only makes you feel worse, doesn't it?

It is somewhat like alcohol to me. Some people drink because they think it makes them feel better. When the truth is, alcohol is a depressant. Most people actually feel worse when they drink.

In Philippians, when Paul wrote to talk to that church, in Chapter 4 he said this, "Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!" A couple of verses later, in verse 8, he says this, "Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things."

In other words, STOP FOCUSING ON THE NEGATIVE!

We all know it's there.

We all have hard/ bad times in our lives.

Look for things every day that are true, noble, pure, lovely and admirable. Seek it out in order to not stay down.

One cold hard fact that might help you is the fact that God loves you more than any human being ever could. That's a promise.

Do not let this world get to you. Especially not during the "Most wonderful time of the year." Refocus, recharge, spend time with people you love and look for the positive!
