Yesterday my Pastor's message really got to me. The one line that meant a lot was
"God has done something powerful in your life, share it!"
Sharing your story, is sharing the gospel of peace.
Just the fact that I am a saved Christian is a big deal. God came down and provided just what we needed to reconcile us to Him.
Ephesians 2: 15b - 17 says this, "His purpose was to create in himself one new humanity out of the two, thus making peace, 16 and in one body to reconcile both of them to God through the cross, by which he put to death their hostility. 17 He came and preached peace to you who were far away and peace to those who were near."
Jesus came to bring peace. The gospel of peace is for everyone. Peace in action is about the fact that we are forgiven so we need to forgive others.
Jesus said, “For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you, but if you do not forgive others their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses (Matthew 6:14-15).
Forgiveness is really about you letting that other person go. They don't even have to know it if you don't want them to.
Peace is untroubled and undisturbed. We are called to live in it and extend it to others.
Is your life peaceful?
Even in the midst of trouble, it can be if you let God in.
