"If it seems we are crazy, it is to bring glory to God. And if we are in our right minds, it is for your benefit. Either way, Christ's love controls us. Since we believe that Christ died for all, we also believe that we have all died to our old life." 2 Corinthians 5: 13 & 14 NLT

I have had people in my life think I'm too crazy for God. To that I say, "Sounds good to me!"

I would rather be crazy for God, than to just plain crazy. LOL! God has done too much for me. If I turned my back on Him, I would not be a smart person. 

You see, like the Scripture above says, I want to bring glory to God. It's not about bringing anyone to ME. It's not about getting readers for my blog or book. I am not a selfish person. 

I live the way I feel God has called me to. I let Christ's love control me. (MOST of the time.) I am still human, and I am one of those people who bends too far to people pleasing, so that's a struggle for me. I do not like people to be angry or upset with me. However, I will not denounce my faith or curse God to keep someone in my life.

Jesus came to pay the debt we couldn't pay. Grace is a gift. One that happens regularly, not just the one time you give your life to Christ.

Just being assured that we will go to heaven is not what being a Christian is about. That's part of it, of course, but while we are still here, we should be telling others about God's redemptive plan. He put it in place to save us through grace. We should be telling people how much He loves them. 

Crazy for God.

Even though I struggle sometimes with what people think of me, this is one area that I don't care what they think. If someone calls I am a Jesus Freak. So be it. Nothing they can say or do will make me change my heart and mind.

Do you remember that old hymn that says, "I have decided to follow Jesus, no turning back, no turning back. Though none go with me, I still will follow..." That's how I feel.

I must be honest though, I have many with me!  I am so thankful for them all. My family, friends, and church family are so important to me. While some may think I'm too crazy for God, there are many more who don't, so I'm ok with that.

Do people think you are crazy for God? It's ok if they do. It just means you are letting your light shine before them and pointing the way! Keep moving forward!
