What Do You Keep In Front of You?

I started using this old picture frame for a calendar some time back. I have talked about it before. I moved my room around last night, so now I don't have anything to stand it up against the way it was. It's broken, so I can't hang it on the wall. The reason I have it in front of me is because I write my budget on it.
My calendar

I have my awesome Purposeful Planner from Corie Clark that my friend Brian bought me. I use it as well. But this is in my face, daily and large enough to read. It's a constant reminder of what bills are due that pay day.

That made me think last night about asking you all, what do you keep in front of you?

We all keep something in front of us, maybe not physically, but especially mentally.

Are you a future thinker? I am sometimes. It usually tends to hurt me though, so I try hard to not do that. Thinking ahead is not always a bad thing.. I mean, I have my budget written out until June of 2016... but worrying about the future or trying to make things happen for ourselves is not cool.

Maybe you keep the past in front of you. Did something happen to you and it just stays on your mind? I have let my past teach me lessons and move forward with them. Staying stuck on something from the past is only hurting you. You can't go back to change it. So why dwell on it?

Last night, as I moved my room around, I knew this is what I wanted to write about. I just love how God works. Here is part of my devotional today from my Jesus Calling book:

"Keep bringing your mind back to the present moment. Among all My creatures, only humans can anticipate future events. This ability is a blessing, but it becomes a curse whenever it is misused. If you use your magnificent mind to worry about tomorrow, you cloak yourself in dark unbelief. However, when the hope of heaven fills your thoughts, the Light of My Presence envelops you. Though heaven is future, it is also present tense. As you walk in the Light with Me, you have one foot on earth and one foot in heaven."

The best thing we can keep in front of us is GOD. Think on His love, grace, and mercy. Think on His blessings. Think about the joy and peace that only comes from Him.

And for Pete's sake, let's ENJOY life. Let's tell others about Him so they can enjoy life too.

God bless you today and always.
