Spiritual DNA

We are all familiar with the DNA structure that makes us up as humans. It is nearly the same in every person, but we have different genetic make ups that cause us to be who we are. I have brown hair and blue eyes. My DNA is what makes me look like I do. My children are all different. Two have blonde hair, one has brown. Two have blue eyes, one has green. But they have the same DNA from both parents. 

Did you know we have a spiritual DNA as well?

When we become Christ followers, the Holy Spirit comes in our lives. He is there to help us. He can comfort us, teach us, and speak for/to us when needed. We also become adopted by God when we give our life to Him. This makes us His children.

The DNA that He gives us is LOVE.

God is love. In John 13: 34 & 35, Jesus said, "A new command I give you; love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are My disciples, if you love one another."

Do you show His love to people?

I try my best to show God's love to people because I want them to know how much He loves them. He has loved me through some tough times. I know He will never leave any of us. He is faithful, honest, and true. I am thankful for this spiritual DNA and just hope I am able to show it to others.
