I saw this yesterday and had to share it. This is how God moves in our lives and how we live through this world while we are here. If we please Him, He will perfect us. As Christians, we are not promised an easy, happy go lucky, worry free life. We will have pain. However, we have purpose, and that makes all of the difference.
In my Bible study this morning, I read these two Scriptures.
Galatians 6: 7-10 this one has to do with reaping and sowing. The last verse really jumped out at me. 10, "Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers."
So, this is what came to my mind when I read that: We should not be treating people badly. Anyone. Period. This includes, but is not limited to, the homeless, gay people, different races, different denominations from ours, etc. We are called to LOVE people.
Second, in Ephesians 5: 15-17, it says, "Be very careful then, how you live- not as unwise but as wise, 16. making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. 17. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord's will is."
I believe God is trying to tell us to "Carpe Diem!" Seize the day! Make the most out of opportunities to love others.
If you are anything like me, maybe you've struggled with the thought,
"What is God's will for my life?"
Let me help you out with that. God has a plan for your life. He will unfold it and work in your life if you let Him. His ultimate will for you is to love Him and love people. That's all.
There are no secret formulas. You do not have to pay to get to the next level in your relationship with Him. You do not have to jump through hoops, be perfect and know the right people to do His will. You just need to allow Him to move. And LOVE! For Pete's sake, let God love you, so that you can return His love to others.
God loves us with an unconditional stead fast love. He just wants us to spread the love!
