My best friends that own their own Zumba studio have been trying to amp it up for us all. After all these years of Zumba, your body can get used to it...therefore, you need to add something different. They started a toning class a few weeks ago... and a healthy living class about a month ago. I have been attending both.
Barbara also started a circuit class on Saturday mornings. We have three stations of cardio and three stations of toning. It's a great quick work out.
This past Saturday, we were the only two there. No one else showed up for the Healthy Living class either, and we were both bad and had skipped breakfast, so we went to eat and have our class there....which happened to be about food. LOL
So, Barbara has done all of this research to help me with calories, and what's good for my body. The plates at the place we were eating are divided by three sections.
She realized it and looked down and said, "The largest part is for your fruits and veggies, one side for grains, the other protein." As a Valentine gift, she bought me a plate so I could have a vision reminder.
Vitamins and minerals were also discussed. I do not take any, and should, especially since I know I don't eat right.
I said to Barbara, "You know, I come to classes, I have that down, but I struggle with my food and water."
She said something that totally blew me away. "It's important to you. Just like church, your prayer time, and your blog. You do what's important to you."
She got me. That's the truth.
Changing my mindset on things is what needs to happen. Just like the Scripture posted above, if we think on the good things, we can change our minds.
Amy Latta, who is in the Facebook groups I'm in has really cornered the market on this. I am so excited about a new journal she has coming out.
It's about your mindset and living healthy. It's called "Worth and Wellness Journal; your daily guide to changing your body by changing your mindset."
It releases on March 8th, but I've already seen it and started putting what she has there into practice. You can find out more about Amy at http://www.amylatta.com/
This is my struggle... for you it's probably something totally different.
Maybe you struggle with your prayer time. Or reading the Bible.
This is what I feel like God has called us to... to help each other.
Barbara and Amy are helping me with my struggle. Since I have my prayer time, church time, and going to exercise class times down, maybe I can help you.
We all need encouragement sometimes in life. And I fully think Barbara had it right... we do whatever is important to us.
So what's important to you?
What areas could you use improvement and encouragement in? What areas can I help you with? I'm here and would love to!
God bless you today and always.
