Is Your Kindness Contagious??

For my local readers, you will recognize this logo. It's from a grocery store here in our area called Publix. This was on one of their weekly sales ads.

As a grocery store, I think it's really awesome that they promote kindness.

We need more kindness in our world. Kindness is a fruit of the spirit. It's something we should be practicing daily.

Galatians 5: 22 & 23 says,
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law."

As humans, we have selfish tendencies. We get in a bad mood and just forget to be kind.
This needs to change.
Life is not fair.
Bad things happen to good people all the time.
BUT... God is good ALL the time!

I am a FIRM believer that God is not a big bully up in Heaven waiting for us to mess up so He can cause something bad to happen in our lives. My Pastor always says,
"God can't give you something He doesn't already have."

Does God have cancer? NO!
Does God want you to struggle financially? NO!

Does God see you crying yourself to sleep because of your current situation? YES!
Does God want you to feel loved? YES!!

I promise you, God knows what you are going through, and He will turn things around for your good. I have seen it time and time again in my own life.

If you are out and someone isn't nice to you...remember this. You never know what they are dealing with. Having bad stuff happen to you does not give you the green light to be mean. However, sometimes it is hard to be positive with a ton of negative around you. (Unless you are a person who is like me. But even I get down and negative on a occasion.)
Be kind to them. Your smile, hug, or nice word might be the only thing that happened good in their life that day!
Let your kindness be contagious!

Do one kind thing for someone today and challenge them to pay it forward! Then, email, comment, or post on Facebook and tell me what you did! Let's start a chain reaction of kindness!
