Do you need peace?

Easter Sunday's message at my church was really good. This post is going to be from my notes.

When life hasn't worked out like you thought it would, it can deaden our souls. Sometimes we are just making it. In the chaos, we find ourselves in a void. We also tend to hide if things aren't going like we think they should.

Peace is an inner calm. It's a powerful poise that gives you inner strength. Jesus has peace and gives it. He can't give what He doesn't have.

Peace is a sense of protection. Psalm 23 says, "Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, You are there." God is always with us.

If you love anything more than God, you might be restless. Your social status doesn't matter when it comes to this. There is the down and out and the up and out, it's about who you have. Jesus took our sin for us.

2 Corinthians 5: 21 says, "God made Him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God."

God does not punish us. Jesus took that on the cross for us.

Never mistake God's silence for His absence.

I think we tend to believe lies and think that we aren't good enough for God to love us. That's the biggest failure of all, to not realize that He actually wants to know us and that we are loved. God desires the best for us. It's not what we did or didn't do.

The cross was about love, the resurrection is about peace.
Peace is the presence and person of Jesus.

If you need peace today, turn to your Heavenly Father who loves you so much. He will be glad to give you peace.
