Racism & Prejudice

This past Sunday, my Pastor spoke on the very touchy subject of racism & prejudice. We live in a modern world that should not even be struggling with hating other races, and yet it's still happening. We are all only ONE race! The HUMAN race!

Colossians 3:11 says, this, " Here there is no Gentile or Jew, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave or free, but Christ is all, and is in all."

You see, Jesus came to unify people. To do away with racism.

Christianity is not a melting pot. It's more like a crock pot- a mixture of things that maintain their identities but start tasting like each other. Take vegetable soup for example: it has corn, meat, butter beans, green beans, pasta, etc. They all keep what they are, but in the soup they start tasting the same.

Racism is feeling an entitlement because of color.

Prejudice is a preconceived opinion based on limited information.

Most people are prejudice, not racist. You get over being prejudice by communicating with others. And not listening to the media or others who lie.

Race doesn't matter! If we call ourselves Christians we should not look at another race & push them down. That's not Jesus!

Do you have friends who don't look like you?
Will you let Jesus into every area of your heart?
