You Are Forgiven

"And just as each person is destined to die once and after that comes judgment, so also Christ died once for all time as a sacrifice to take away the sins of many people. He will come again, not to deal with our sins, but to bring salvation to all who are eagerly waiting for Him." Hebrews 9: 27-28NLT
I am SOAPing the Scripture with the Love God Greatly women's Bible study. I really enjoy SOAPing, which I have mentioned on here before. I believe it is something God wants me to put in my next book, so I'm working on that. Today's Scripture led me to write this blog post.
In case you forgot, SOAP stands for: S= Scripture O= Observation A= Apply P= Prayer
If you go back and read verses 24-26 in Hebrews 9, you see that the writer is saying Jesus didn't appear in a temple made my human hands, He entered Heaven to offer Himself as a sacrifice, instead of the Priest doing that in the Most Holy Place in the temple.
Some people think that every time they sin, Jesus won't forgive them. Or that they have done something so bad in their lives that they can't be forgiven at all.
This Scripture clearly states that Jesus did it once, and for all. Let me show you verse 25 & 26:
"And He did not enter heaven to offer Himself again and again, like the high priest here on earth who enters the Most Holy Place year after year with the blood of an animal. If that had been necessary, Christ would have had to die again and again, ever since the world began. But now, once for all time, He has appeared at the end of the age to remove sin by His own death as a sacrifice."
God is a Holy God. He had to find a way to redeem man because He created man to be in fellowship with Him. Adam and Eve jacked that up. The reason they did so, was because God gave us FREE WILL. He did not create robots to just do whatever He asked. He wanted them to have some freedom to choose. They choose to listen to the lies of the devil, just like we do sometimes.
Whatever you've done, you are forgiven if you ask. Nothing you can do or have done will make God say, "Yeah, nope, you've done some awful horrible things. It's too much, I can't forgive you."
That will never happen with God. Never ever.
John 3:16 & 17 says, "For God loved the world so much that He gave His one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life. God sent His Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through Him."
See that? EVERYONE. No matter what!
You are loved. You are forgiven. Will you accept that and share it with others? I hope you will.
God bless you today and always.
